Doug Batzel

Doug Batzel is a ruling elder at Hope Church.

Larry Heckman

Ruling Elder Larry Heckman is a life-long resident of Moosic.  He grew up in the United Presbyterian Church and became a Christian while in High School through witness of friends and YFC ministries.  He attended Nyack Missionary College, obtained a BA in History and met and married Karen Young from Toronto Ontario. Larry also attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.  He has worked at AAA North Penn for 35 years and is Senior Vice President/COO.  Larry served on the Board of Directors of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre YFC for several years.  He and Karen have three adult daughters, two sons-in-laws, and a grandson all who live in the Moosic/Avoca area.  He is currently Clerk of Session at Hope.
