    Kenn Anderson, Jr.

    About Us

    Kenn Anderson, Jr. grew up in the small Pennsylvania town of LaPlume with his three younger sisters. He was raised by his Christian parents to follow biblical principles and came to know the Lord at an early age. After graduating high school a year early to attend Keystone Junior College he met his future wife, Marcia. He graduated Keystone in 1992 with an A.A. in Engineering and left the following year to enter the Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman. Kenn and Marcia were married on July 9th, 1994 and spent the next few years at China Lake Naval Air Station before returning to Scranton, PA after leaving the Navy. Upon their return, Kenn and Marcia began attending Hope Church and became members of its congregation. Although not formally trained in theology, Kenn is earnest in his study of scripture, was ordained as a deacon several years ago, and desires to be an instrument of mercy for the benefit of Christ’s kingdom. He currently lives in Scranton with his wife and and delights in raising his three growing children - Marilyn (13), Samuel (11), and Melanie (2).

    Chaz Brewer

    About Us

    Chaz Brewer, who grew up in Archbald, PA with his mother, father and two sisters, was raised in a Catholic home and attended Catholic schools throughout his education. In 1977, Chaz attained a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Scranton. Soon afterward, in 1978, he obtained employment with the defense contractor, Lockheed Martin, where he currently works as an operations Manager after 31 years of service. Chaz met his wife, Doreen, in 1981 at work, and in 1982, they joined hands in marriage. They currently reside in Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania on Doreen’s parents’ farm with a few pets among other farm animals. In April, 1995, after attending a fellowship group with friends from Hope church, Chaz had a life-changing experience at which point he surrendered his life to God, making Jesus the Lord and Savior of his life. He later became a regular attendee of Hope and eventually became a member in 2002. He also accepted the position of head of the Building Maintenance Committee Ministry, and was ordained as a Deacon in 2009. Chaz is a golf lover, a member of both the Lockheed Martin Golf League and the recently formed Hope Church Golf League. He enjoys tending to his vegetable garden and cooking. Chaz also has a  genuine love of serving others.

    Martin Leach

    Martin Leach

    Martin Leach grew up in a small town in north central PA in a large family(4 brothers and a twin sister). He was brought up in the Lutheran church but came to know Christ through reading the Bible and the witness(via letters) of his sister-in-law's sister while he was serving in the Army in Germany in 1974. He attended Baptist Bible College from 1975 to 1977 and received an A.A. degree and met his future wife, Joy. They were married on June 24, 1978 and continued to live and work in the Clarks Summit area. From 1982-86 he attended Marywood College and obtained his B.A. and M.S. degrees in clinical psychology. At the same time he joined the Army Reserves and was serving as a chaplain's assistant when his unit was activated for Desert Storm and deployed to Saudia Arabia. A year after that he transferred to the Air Force Reserves and later retired from military service in 2001 with 21 years of service. Over the years he has served in churches in a variety of capacities including deacon. He and his wife were among the founding members of Hope Church and he was ordained a deacon a few years ago. Martin and Joy have two grown daughters, Carly and Erin. Carly lives and works in the area and Erin is a captain in the U.S. Army. She is a Blackhawk helicopter pilot with the 82nd Airborne Division and currently on her second deployment to Afghanistan.

    Sue Bartoli

    About Us

    Sue Bartoli grew up in Jacksonville, Florida where she graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. She held several jobs as a clerk and typist for various insurance companies and a state bank. Sue married Ben Bartoli and lived in New Jersey for several years where she was active in the Police Athletic League. Upon moving to Pennsylvania, she took and EMS course through the Red Cross and also served with the school lunch program for the Neil Armstrong and Nicholas Murray elementary schools in Scranton. She is currently employed by Marywood University where she has worked for 21 years and she has take classes in Business and Psychology. Her hobbies include photography and gardening although she has always been fascinated by Bible history.
